Next Match: away to Real Zaragoza, March 21 Barcelona has struggled to repeat the brilliant football of last season at times this term, but was in scintillating form in the second half of last weekend's match at home to Valencia. The Catalans ran out 3-0 winners in that match following a sublime hat-trick from Lionel Messi and then thrashed German side VfB Stuttgart 4-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Barcelona now travels to struggling Zaragoza on Sunday and will be expected to claim the three points with relative ease in Aragon. Xavi is sidelined, but Seydou Keita is available again and could start on Sunday. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back from suspension, but is set to be named on the bench following Thierry Henry's timely return to form. Barcelona is now second in the league, but is level on points with leader Real Madrid. |
