The depleted Orange close out their schedule at Big East Conference rival Connecticut, a team coming off an inspired upset at Notre Dame.
The Orange (4-7, 1-5) has lost 10 players for the season to injury, including seven in the last three weeks. The latest to go down is starting middle linebacker Derrell Smith, the Orange’s leading tackler. But they still had enough play to upset No. 25 ranked Rutgers on Senior Day in the Carrier Dome, a win that may finally signal a turnaround in the program.
